What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We collect the personal information you voluntarily provide in order to subscribe to my blog and receive emails from me. This includes your name and e-mail address and sometimes your city and country.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. (This is only the case if you use the Gravatar Service.)
Like most websites, our website uses Google Analytics. This tool collects information in an anonymous form, including the number of visitors to the site, where visitors have come to the site from and the pages they visited. We use this information to better understand how visitors find us and how they interact with our website. We can use this to make adjustments to our website, to deliver a better user experience.
We also use tracking from Facebook and Instagram so that we can better understand how visitors are interacting with our site via social media and to track the effectiveness of any ads we place on social media.
This data is all anonymised but you can opt out of this tracking at any time via your own browser settings. See our
Cookie Policy for more details.
If you choose to receive Gail’s email updates (with links to her current blog post and any offerings and workshops for example) your email address will be stored with Mad Mimi which is the app we use to send out our emails.

Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
