Thank you for your compliment 🙂

I think the rough look comes from using sanded paper. That’s all I can think. Also, I don’t work towards a smooth finish. Does that help?? Please let me know.

I love your rendition of the glass bottles. As a pastel artist, my works have always been smooth and detailed. Usually I do portraits; occasionally scenery, on velour paper. (Dating back to my early days doing portraits at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park California) How do you achieve that great rough look?
